OUR STRUCTURE

Our three-tier model is designed to be democratic, effective, and scalable. Every member has a pathway to influence.

 Tier 1: Regional Associations

  • The Foundation: Formed by members in their local communities.
  • The Action: These groups organise cultural events, provide community support, and represent our interests to local councils.
  • The Power: This is where participation begins and heritage becomes a shared, practical reality.
  • Autonomy: Regional Associations act with local initiative and self-governance, provided their actions are consistent with the purposes and constitution of their State body.

 Tier 2: State Associations

  • The Coordination: Comprised of delegates elected from the Regional Associations.
  • The Action: State bodies combine local strength, coordinate strategy, and present a united voice in State civic and political affairs.
  • The Power: This is how we move from local activity to strategic influence.

Tier 3: The National Peak Body

  • The United Voice: Formed by delegates from each State Association.
  • The Action: This peak body carries a collective mandate to lead national strategy, engage in public advocacy, and secure a recognised place in federal institutions.
  • The Power: This is our collective voice on the national stage.

This structure ensures that every member, starting at the local level, contributes to a voice that resonates all the way to Canberra.

  • How can I participate in Heritage Australians events?

Participation is open to all members and interested individuals. You can join events by registering through our website or contacting our community coordinators directly. Active involvement helps amplify our shared voice.
  • What types of events are organized?

We organize cultural celebrations, educational workshops, community meetings, and advocacy forums. Each event is designed to foster understanding of our heritage and encourage civic engagement.
  • Are events open to non-members?

Many events welcome non-members to promote wider community awareness. However, some meetings focused on internal planning are reserved for members to ensure effective coordination.
  • How do events support cultural recognition?

Events highlight our community’s history and values through presentations, discussions, and public outreach. This visibility strengthens cultural identity and informs broader society about our contributions.
  • How can I contribute to community activities?

Contributions can include volunteering at events, sharing expertise, or helping with outreach efforts. We encourage members to take active roles that align with their skills and interests.
